Via Isla is a condominium association located in the Twin Palms neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Palm Springs. Sheltered by the Santa Jacinto Mountains, our 8-acre community consists of 32 condominium units, 13 of which have private pools. With two community swimming pools and a tennis court, healthy pursuits are steps from your door. Nearby our community there is abundant shopping, restaurants, hotels, public and private golf courses, and tennis clubs.

The community offers its residents comfortable living in a magnificent mountain-view setting convenient to downtown Palm Springs and the airport. Palm Springs’ comfortable year-round climate, an abundance of and easy access to hiking trails, bike routes, tennis, and golf, promote an active outdoor lifestyle. Our History

Bordered by Twin Palms Drive, La Verne Way, Marion Way, and Via Aguila, Via Isla was carved out of a parcel in south Palm Springs originally known as Canyon Estates I, II, III, IV, and V. Via Isla was Canyon Estates V. The street, Via Isla, from which the community takes its name, bisects the property and is only 32 feet wide, vs. the City minimum of 50 feet. This was done so the developer could add two stand-alone units and means that the street is considered “private” and not the responsibility of the City to maintain.

The original owner of the land was Canyon Site Corporation and Webb Engineering surveyed the approximately 8-acre parcel for the developer, R.F & Marilyn McCarthy. Via Isla Home Owners Association was established in 1978 and homes were sold from 1979 to 1981.

In 2023, as part of Modernism Week, a home in Via Isla was included for the first time on the Twin Palms Neighborhood Tour.  Via Isla was designed by a notable architect, Laszlo Sandor, who had previously worked with a noted desert architect, William Cody.  Laszlo Sandor designed a number of homes and commercial buildings throughout the Coachella Valley and is recognized as part of the Palms Springs School of Architecture.
